Yep, I finally got him talked into it. Actually when he seen how much $ it would save us he got motivated to build it. How economical is chickens? You eat the eggs they lay, use the poop for fertilizer and then eat them! 3 in 1 kind of a deal, definitely his type of thing. ;) We're ready to roof it and hang the door, I'm so excited! It's going to be darling! Now to get some chickens to put in it. ;) Me and chickens go a long way back. I used to have them for pets........actually kept one in my bedroom. (can't believe my dad let me! he must have really loved me. ;) So it won't be hard adjusting to them, I'm ready!!
Here's a couple pictures of the construction of it. I'll share more as it is completed. To do projects for the farm include a "real" clothesline, porch swing, tire swing and some other odd and end stuff I want done. We'll see how much I can get out of him. ;)
Oh and did I mention that it's going to be painted pink with white trim? Wreath, flower baskets, landscaping, the whole nine yards.......the kids think it's a big play house for them. ;) ewww....
